Hi there,

I'm Christina, a writer on a UX journey.

About Her

I'm a first-generation daughter of immigrants. Growing up with stories of  "starting out" in a new country has influenced a deep belief in me. I believe life is a journey full of beginnings. We all have a story to share. It's important to remember to enjoy your journey wherever you're at.

After accomplishing my Master's in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University, I spent 3 years in a non-linear, creative-career path. I've taught students of all ages from an art gallery to a learning center, on Zoom, and then writing for a consulting agency, as well as producing digital media for a non-profit organization. With my strong student engagement experience, I found my next role in 2022 at Northwestern University at The Garage, supporting students as they built their start-up companies.

I've honed my versatile writing & editing skills during these 3 years after graduation. But my non-linear path was not satisfying, and quite honestly, it became confusing. I lost sense of my career and where I saw myself in the next five years from now.

Navigating a career change, I rested and processed with my sister in San Diego and video edited a series of personal vlogs that I titled "digital journal entries." I assessed my long term goals. I understood that I wanted to make a difference through writing. Finally, in June 2022 I discovered UX writing ... though, really, UX found me.

Now, I create intuitive digital journeys for people of all backgrounds. Words lead us and take us on a journey. Your digital journey can look like purchasing an item, signing up for a new app or navigating your insurance website, to name a few. Both the words and design we meet can have a positive or negative affect on us; a confusing design with unclear language can just make life harder than it needs to be.

As a UX writer, I use clear, conversational, personal and relevant words to bring you smoothly to the next destination. I enjoy words both big and small, and look forward to researching, rewriting and exploring & connecting with my audience.

I hope you enjoy your next digital journey.

-Christina
